tears are running from my eyes. as a young boy i would escape to coney to go to steeplechase for a fun day. i rode the horses around the steeple and by the parachute and carousel. if you want to see a great flick go get, the little fugitive, its coney in my time.

The Little Fugitive is fantastic. Great shot, never quite seen it from that angle, enjoyed the colors...it's supposed to go back into operation, no?

jack: 2nd Dec 2005 - 16:46 GMT

i dont know but i never went on it because i was afraid of height. but a few years later the army had me jumping out of helicopters.

BZZZP: 2nd Dec 2005 - 17:35 GMT

there are 26 freaks working there, and they make an avg of $150 a night.

My dad is the one that rides with the little fugitive. He worked the Parachute drop back in they day and they needed someone to ride with him.

Lou: 5th Jun 2012 - 21:10 GMT

it was nice back then when steeplechase park and the parachute lifted up its customers to drop them back down again, stood there and watched many times as a young boy, grabbing for the rings on one ride, then going to kiddieland and getting on the rides.........sadly those days are long, long gone, www.brooklynpix.com has the pictorial memory for us all
