October on the Danforth
[previous] :: [next]Took a stroll on the Danforth today. Not too busy since it is Thanksgiving. Here's the new big box Shopper's that moved into town, rather large and overwhelming considering it is two stories high and about 4 storefronts across. Way out of place I think. And of course it's election day tomorrow, so lots of signs to be seen, although no green party sign in with this mixture. I thought it kind of ironic that this is a vacant lot. Kind of neat with the flowers peeping out next to the phone booth. I'm trying to think of places like you mentioned in NY; I guess "the Bowery" would be one, though any given part of what was once referred to by that name now probably goes by "East Village" or "Lower East Side" or "NoHo" or "NoLIta" Comment on this article..[previous] :: [next] |
