While it looks like Ragnarok is coming, it turns out to be a over St. Catherine's Lake, South Vermont. This is one of my favorite places on earth.

I'm always expecting a wolf to eat the sun. But I when everyone was running around screaming, I would say in a very English way,"Mustn't grumble."

elaine: 10th Nov 2005 - 17:24 GMT

haha yeah. it's amazing how english one can become. i discovered my inner julie andrews in new york, and i didn't know i had one

Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 10th Nov 2005 - 22:32 GMT

People keep asking me about the royal family, like I ever cared. My dad spent most of my childhood muttering, "Come the revolution, they'll be first against the wall." So I had to become more English to satisfy curiosity.

When are you coming back to NY, Julie Andrews?

julie andrews: 11th Nov 2005 - 08:47 GMT

god knows, i havn't been far from home in a long time, but i have a yearning for a big trip and a friend in new zealand tapping his fingers waiting for me to visit, and possible stop offs along the way, so i will have to brush up my 'i'm terribly sorry?'s and so on...

Jamie: 11th Nov 2005 - 09:31 GMT

Ah, reminds me of the time i lived in , i too had to English up, though not in a Hugh Grant way. I seemingly adopted a mockney* accent (* mock cockney, like Jamie Oliver) merely to be understood more easily. To a population who's experience of Englishness is encompassed by a daily dose of Eastenders, this suited perfectly. I once knew a guy who lived in Florida for a time. His Essex accent apparently was always interpreted as Australian, eventually leading him to merely agreee "Yes i'm Australian, my name's Rolf Harris"

Peter: 11th Nov 2005 - 19:15 GMT

heh. alot of people think im canadian for some reason. i think its the absence of any accent i have from growing up down south but living in nyc for so long.

god knows what google's going to try to sell me from chasing down the leads on this web site...
