The place every New Yorker avoids like the plague....
Cool shot, though.

barry: love time square.

Balloonhedz: 5th Nov 2005 - 01:15 GMT

Im a native and I dont avoid it. I especially like it in the rain so the lights reflect off of the street

Im also one of the gremlins up there that dumps the confetti on New Years Eve.

barry: 5th Nov 2005 - 01:43 GMT

I worked around time square for about 13 months and loved it.

Balloonhedz: 6th Nov 2005 - 20:59 GMT

I think its got something to do with it being full of tourists which is a lot of bull. We'd be in deep shit financially without those people even if they CAN be a pain in the ass.

Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 6th Nov 2005 - 21:05 GMT

I ain't knocking tourists, but if you need to get from A to B walking or in a car, you never go through Times Square. If your destination is Times Square, then that's a different story. It can be beautiful and exciting. It's also good for recharging yourself by seeing New York through the eyes of a tourist.

Balloonhedz: 6th Nov 2005 - 23:36 GMT

Im sorry...sincerely.
Im so conditioned by all the tourist bashing that goes on over on Live Journal.
Forgive me? *puppy dog eyes*

I climbed to the top of the building my flat was in and snapped these. kinda boring i guess, but i find them really interesting, part of the city no one really sees.
