elaine: a tradgedy in orange!

Peter: 2nd Nov 2005 - 18:55 GMT

heh. that snowman looking one is cool.

i like post-halloween pumpkin sales cause we get pumpkins half-off, crack em open, and roast all the seeds. yum.

GGP: 2nd Nov 2005 - 19:17 GMT

yeah. the snowman is clever.
I am looking for good seed-roasting recipes...Peter???

Peter: 2nd Nov 2005 - 19:25 GMT

we just remove em, wash em (to get all the gooey pumpkin-innards bits off of them) and bake them at 350 until they look done or start to brown a bit.

thats if you like them dry.

the way i prefer them is to wash them, dry them, coat a baking sheet/pan with a tad of olive oil and cook them under the broiler, being careful to stir/flip them now and then so they dont steam on their backsides...

dust with salt and crunch away :)

GGP: 2nd Nov 2005 - 19:53 GMT

thanks, Peter Pumpkinseed Eater!
is the first-ever appearance of a recipe on citynoise?
will try this recipe this weekend--cityyum!

Jamie: 5th Nov 2005 - 14:10 GMT

Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater!
wasn't there also a song called "Peter Pumpkinhead"? I think it might have been on the soundtract to "Dumb and Dumber"

Spring in Calgary

These were taken the end of April 2003. There was so much snow that day, that the kids had the day off school. Welcome to spring in Calgary!
