God Bless 50hz Lamps

image 5820

I often cut through the golf course on my walk home. This is the first time I'd noticed that they have a driving range lit with flood lamps. Notice the high-contrast yellow balls.

The high-rise in the background is where I want to move (Warwick Towers, 30 floors, 110 metres, www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=117682 .) It has a perfect location, right smack dab in the middle of the museum district, which is one of the most beautiful, walkable, and livable parts of the city. Additionally, it's on the light-rail line, which goes directly to my workplace. Even though it's only about 1.5 or 2 miles, the weather in Houston is hostile to walking about 8 months out of the year.

Graf Exit from Brooklyn

This is the view from the Manhattan Bridge pedestrian walkway, coming down into Chinatown. It intrigues me the way the graffiti--is that what does it?--seems to flatten out the view...
