Room with a View

When I got to Salamanca I couldn't believe how lucky I was to be staying where I was. If you ever find yourself there, I can recommend a room with a view: www.residenciacristina.com/ Make sure you ask for the "octavo piso."

Here is the city's New Cathedral on an eerily cloudy day.

A nice view of Salamanca at night.

Even the reflection of two other churches is pretty incredible.

Just in case you don't believe these were really taken from my room, here are my toes to prove it! And, yes, that is Elvis hanging on the window.

Unfortunately, I had to move after a month and the view from la calle Edison isn't nearly as stunning! Still, it was incredible to live among the prominent history and legend. www.salamanca.com/ and www.aboutsalamanca.com/salamanca/history.asp
