wow, dude- these are awesome!! im psyched to see those truck pics. its pretty cool that you just stepped out and lined up a nice shot. ive gotten into the bad habit of just whipping out the lofi camphone, and really should get back to toting a real cam around.

anyway, these are the shit! id love to see more truck/train pictures. bridges and graffiti are popular around here too ;)

Nice part about this scene (unlike some) was the presence of police lines was at a real minimum. Just either side of a maybe two block stretch on 6th and to the east on W7th I think it was. Other than that people were out there with cams of every shape and size...video too.

im guessing that stands for something like mobile emergency response vehicle... MERV is a great name for such a bus. though im sure that the FDNY would be hard-pressed to keep many immobile emergency response vehicles around ;)

it used to be Mobile Emergency Room Van or MERVan before EMS was taken over by FDNY.

fdny is the largest fire department in the us they have many truks and support vehiles they even have the largest repair shop in queeens i have bin there its massive i know because its rare to see i have knolage becasue my friends are firefighters go visit them fdny is the best its cool to friends in the fdny
