Paul G: 13th Oct 2005 - 23:30 GMTsecond from the bottom; third from the top: the shot is there, hiding in the toaster. crop / up contrast / lose the pink foofoo in the bg / work the reflection. same deco-modern god-in-progress aesthetic as in Peter's building, here: http://www.citynoise.org/article/2135 steelisreal: 14th Oct 2005 - 04:39 GMTPaul i am really againest editing photos. they lose alot of the moment when you do things like that. Paul G: 20th Oct 2005 - 23:12 GMTYour pics are your own. If they make you happy, that's enough. That you choose to share is a better thing still. I could say: "Use the flash, and under-expose the shot; you'll have greater contrast," or, "Shoot from a lower position: you'll make the toaster feel more monumental." But I am only telling you how to do what I would have done - instead of appreciating what you have done. I looked through citynoise.org one night, and left comments on things that struck me - including this. Today, it's the cases open - displaying their contents - that's calling out to me. Maybe it's because I'm on the road. But, too, there's a deeper meaning there: disclosure. The shapes in all the pics bespeak a deep feminism. Commenting is temporarily disabled whilst the site undergoes essential maintenance. [previous] :: [next] |
