we were walking back to the car from the st. lawrence market. it was 7pm. the market stays open late on fridays. i was carrying a bag of tuna and tiger shrimp weighed down under crushed ice.

wait a minute, what was that?

i was a bit disappointed that we didn't get to see flames (or smoke or something). i wanted hysteria, not a bunch of baby-faced firefighters and gawkers. but still, you don't see that every day. it reminded me of elaine's burnt out cars.

A Garden Above the Streets

west third street has always been a quirky kind of street. i think it was more alive back in 60 (oh my gosh that's over 40 years ago) when kids like me ran into the city for a saturday...
