Ever go to a party where the host/ess requested that everyone remove their shoes before entering? It's common here in NYC, at least, where such a request could potentially keep dogshit, hepatitis, grime and countless other filth from being tracked all over your livingroom.

That comment about dog shit and everything made me laugh I never really thought about like that before. For now on everybody taking off there shoes when they come to my house

Removing shoes is an excellent custom.I wish more people would do it here in the UK.
