(I'd have guess you took a lot of pictures over time and periodically put them together thematically.) It looks like you wouldn't have needed to approach most of these people, but the people are always so great...do they see you taking pictures? Do you ever pose them? How do you handle that? I love the way the blue/orange combos flip in the Volkswagen/orange jacket picture and the cone/housedress one...There's something great about that hunched man and that dusty car, they both seem so downtrodden and vibrant at the same time... hool: 30th Aug 2005 - 15:56 GMTthanks kc. i think these are from two days, but most are from one. sometimes people see me taking pictures, sometimes they don't. i almost never ask, and i don't ever pose them. these scenes are constantly around us, at all times. what varies is our ability to see them. i am able to see them more often than the average person because i spend more than the average time looking. kc: 30th Aug 2005 - 18:35 GMTyou're definitely looking. One of my favorite things about looking at photographs, particularly when I've been with the person taking them, is realizing that they've seen something completely different from what I may have noticed....
