Brooklyn to Midtown Manhattan Via Car

I decided to turn right and enter the Williamsburg Bridge for my drive into Manhattan...

Gaining speed, I quickly overtook the scooterist...
And was distracted by the wonderful view of the Manhattan skyline, looking north towards the Empire State Building...
I sped past the projects in Manhattan's Lower East Side as I prepared to exit the bridge...
It's easy to discover yourself speeding on the bridge, as its long, unpoliced spans are conducive to trying to make up time for the traffic jam that surely lies ahead...
Into the traffic jam I go, heading across town and quickly weaving over to 8th Avenue, where I turn right, northbound...
Approaching $2nd Street, directly west of Times' Square...
The corner of 8th and Forty Deuce...
Further north into the 60s, just south of Lincoln Center...

terrific, i worked at 44th and 8th ave as a concierge at the milford, the grand hyatt and the plaza. things have changed. 8th ave and 42nd st. were hubs for prosties and druggies. i went to high school on 49th and 10th ave. loved the action back in the 60's. the old garden at 49th st. the old penn station. at 4am i could drive from 56th and 7th ave down to the wtc in 7 minutes. the lights are sync'd and there is no traffic. good job peter. i always hated the williamsburg bridge, i felt my car being pulled off the side roadway, it's too high and too old.

I like the grainyness I guess you get with the phone...if you tell the cops you were taking pictures instead of talking, will you still get a ticket? Well, scratch that. You'll probably get arrested.

Nice pitures.. Is this pictures from centrum of NYC?? Im planning to visit your city in the future.. 101 post Ave, Tilden ave(bronx) Hyland park, Stocholm street.. i have heard about this places.. is it a nice and safe place to visit...

you know, in hindsight, that was a very snobby thing for me to say about the bronx. sorry, bronx.
also: its sort of nice to not have a car any longer...
