Is "stile" the new style?
Nice find :o)

Peter: 23rd Aug 2005 - 15:36 GMT

i suppose so!

thoguh, i gotta give em their props... their cooking area and griddle is most definitely the newest and cleanest in the neighborhood, so if i was to want an egg sandwich, id definitely go there... heh.

stillseeingred: 23rd Aug 2005 - 15:37 GMT

nothing like a party sausage to get me going in the morning!

elaine: ##own## that spelling, i say

hey stillseeingred... someone contacted me trying to reach you to see about reprinting rights on one of your photos. email me at editors at citynoise dot org and ill pass it on to you :)

can i get a scrambled egg there? check out the boar's head sandwich. do they take out the teeth and the hair in the nose of the head before they put it in between two slices of bread? can you open your mouth that far to even bite into it? and besides, who would eat a boar's head? is this is the most times i've used question marks?

Peter: 23rd Aug 2005 - 16:33 GMT

hahahahaha, jack! www.boarshead.com

and im sure any stile would include scrambled, yes? i, myself, am curious as to whether i can get em poached there... its hard to find good poached eggs these days unless you do it at home...

Deshant: 23rd Aug 2005 - 18:58 GMT

so 'stilo' is spanish for 'style' I get that one. grilled cheese is frequently pronounced 'grill cheese'. I'll even let the party = patty thing slide. but who are these disreputable signmakers who let everything go to press mispeled?

Reminds me of a Chinese food restaurant here in Philly. Their menu proudly proclaims "Changing the price without notice." Not exactly a selling point.

I was in a pizza and kebab shop called pizza hot (geddit?) in Sleaford, last night. Long story. But the menu board on the wall had the following sections. The last of which i found quite amusing.

Pizza, Kebabs, Burgers, Chicken & Fish!

Peter: 14th Oct 2005 - 13:55 GMT

im imaginging a pizza with kebabbys, burgers, chicken AND fish all on it. my stomach is a-tremblin'...

Jamie: 14th Oct 2005 - 14:13 GMT

Place near me does a Meat

Peter: hahaha. *burp*

Danny: 29th Dec 2005 - 18:45 GMT

great photo... i can't understand how it became a sign...i just cant.

jamie: 1st Aug 2006 - 21:34 GMT

thing is they're not technically spelling mistakes, so a spell checker wouldn't pick them up unless it was really hot on grammar. The sign writer has obviously relied on his copy of m$ word to correct his terrible spelling. Only problem is that computerised spell checkers assume the user has a least a basic grasp of the language in question.

Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 1st Aug 2006 - 21:51 GMT

I had a party sausage once, before I was married.

jamie: i bet you did you filthy mare

HUMBERSIDE: 18th Jul 2008 - 16:55 GMT

The Humberside Pizza Hot is much better than the Sleaford Pizza Hot!

I took this picture in a back ally of 's borough. I'm not sure who the man in the stencil is or why someone's willing to give up 10 000 spraycans for his capture but he must have...
