This article has been viewed 3206 times in the last 3 years jack: 11th Aug 2005 - 15:31 GMTthat man is seymore schwartz. he died in 1950 and is often seen walking around the city. now it is reported that he has been seen in numerous countries around the globe. i personally, have never seen him. he has been seen at nathan's in coney island ordering french fries,(which by the way are delicious) and a root beer. you were lucky to have captured him on film. chadweck: 11th Aug 2005 - 16:35 GMTuh, the cars in the street are moved, so it stands to reason that someone walking would be out of the frame. am i missing something here? and that comment by jack is rediculous. Peter: 11th Aug 2005 - 16:42 GMTisn't it interesting how pedantic logic can ruin a lighthearted moment? Deshant: 11th Aug 2005 - 16:56 GMTI once saw Seymore playing chess in Washington Square Park with a dread smoking a blunt. When the cop busted him he said "It's not mine, I n I just holding it for Mista Schwartz." Suddenly he was sitting by himself... GGP: 11th Aug 2005 - 18:05 GMTwow, Peter, this takes sleight of hand to a whole new level! Tupelo: 11th Aug 2005 - 21:57 GMTI'd like to respond to Jack's comment, because I believe he's mistaken. The disappearing gentleman in the first photograph goes by the name of Robert Barringer. He is a traveling wonder, performing the same basic but dazzling technique which he says is "part psychology, part faith, part the right shoes" in cities around America and Canada. I saw him in DeCatur, IL two years ago and he was alive and well. Anonymous (69.88.124.6): 11th Aug 2005 - 22:11 GMTyeah, sorry, i wasn't that impressed either- though i do dig random people walking pics. Bill Bob: 14th Aug 2005 - 21:39 GMTare you a monkey? Because i knew this monkey although he could operate a camera! Comment on this article..[previous] :: [next] |
