UUummm, that's a skater kid, not a hippie, check out the "rainbow family" or all the kids that used to be on Phish tour type stuff for what modern hippies look like.

Skaters in Santa Cruz CA "surf" the side walks and parking lots of the city not unlike the wave of young adults, my father included... who took their boards to the beaches in the mid 60's to experience all or as much of the popular counter culture as they felt they wanted. this is just one form.... in my humble opinion

by far... I think those least representative of a "hippy liniage" are exactly those who proclaim to be..
