Seoul from Hotel Window
[previous] :: [next]View from my hotel room on a clear day. Looking out the window and seeing green made me feel like I wasn't in Korea. and then the pollution returned. This article has been viewed 2496 times in the last 3 years jeeff: 10th Jul 2005 - 06:48 GMTin tokyo the only clear day was the day after a typhoon. all the rain pelting down makes the dust & pollution settle to the ground. everything looks almost technicolor. same in korea? Trace: 10th Jul 2005 - 13:43 GMTYep, same same. The city looks fresh and shiny again after a good storm - but smells a little worse. Technicolour is a great description. Trace: 11th Jul 2005 - 12:34 GMTSo bad! Very impressed they put Jeju Island on the bottom....pity Dokdo (rock in the sea between Japan and Korea that Korea is desperate to prove they own) is not on it - it would be another 'useful piece of evidence' to be used against japan. Peter: 11th Jul 2005 - 14:08 GMTahh, nyc has that same phenomenon, what with the pollution/filth and the cleansing rain. in the summer, the hot, steamy rains work wonders... you can sometimes literally see the grime running off of walls and into the sewer drains... along with all the trash, dogshit and cigarette butts. its clean and nice for a day, then gets dirty again the next... a neverending cycle. chiamattt: 26th Jun 2006 - 22:53 GMTView from a room at the Shilla Hotel. I pass by this view everyday on my way to work. Comment on this article..[previous] :: [next] |
