kc: 2nd Jul 2005 - 01:07 GMT

maybe they think they live in an exotic reef. that's a lot of traffic cones...like someone made a project of it. like the splotchy paint feeling of the picture...

kobe: 6th Jul 2005 - 19:25 GMT

that is so creepy, elaine! love the photos though. i know right where that water is and wouldnt be too surprised if it were a real leg in there 8-]

elaine: 6th Jul 2005 - 20:28 GMT

i know! isn't it. i was already filming that day and my friend said 'look at that leg' - i couldn't believe it. far out

GGP: 7th Jul 2005 - 02:05 GMT

"look at that leg": an invocation. the cones look like koi goldfish getting a jump on their next incarnation as plastic junk (aren't we all headed this way these days?). anyway, for some reason (the gentle rain and all), this inspires two haiku.

HAIKU UNO
traffic-cone goldfish:
you go your way, I'll go mine--
underwater rocks

HAIKU 2
H20 lessons:
a leg may or may not float;
algae rules the world

elaine: 7th Jul 2005 - 06:46 GMT

coooool! haiku, my favourite. but surely that's rawks

Jamie: 7th Jul 2005 - 08:10 GMT

she said it's ok it's like
roughrider condoms

elaine: bleuugh

Peter: 7th Jul 2005 - 14:28 GMT

btw, thats a classic haiku from back in the day for those of you who dont know it...

elaine: woo hoo! see the video! roll up roll up!!!

GGP: good video! I liked the sound-scape, too.

two months ago a young man and his charming girlfriend were sitting in a car parked near a park. the news was on the radio and a police dispatch was made for the lookout of an excaped killer. he would dismember lovely young girls. he was noted for a missing hand which was replaced by a hook. so the couple decided to leave in a hurry. he hit the gas pedal and peeled out. when he got home he got out of the car and found a hook on the handle of the door. he raced back to his girlfriends apartment and found her screeming. her leg was amputated my the maniac. police have not found the leg. she said the maniac was missing a hand. scary is'nt it. now that photo.

elaine: 23rd Jul 2005 - 00:45 GMT

no, you didn't miss the video, it was just put on as if by magic (or peter)
its way better than the photos, isn't it? not always for everything, but this one because of the water just needed the movement

Defenestration of Bedclothes

Whoops! It appears that someone has thrown their bed linens out the window and into an adjacent tree, right off of Carleton Avenue. Just one more strange happening on the side-streets of , Brooklyn...
