Peter: 27th Jun 2005 - 16:57 GMT

hmm. www.illvill.com forwards to www.nike.com/illvill. is this some sort of weird advert for nike?

Peter: 27th Jun 2005 - 16:58 GMT

oh, and great photos, btw... i love the one with the dog-butt and the car. heh.

elaine: 27th Jun 2005 - 17:26 GMT

hmm, don't know, couldn't get those links on this, but i have been hearing about grafs as ads lately, so praps. how irritating

Jamie: 28th Jun 2005 - 08:01 GMT

corporate graffiti, how lame is that? whatever next?

elaine: 28th Jun 2005 - 08:12 GMT

i know, it's crap isn't it? as you know i was never that interested in grafitti until i started posting here, and i really only like it when it's really good and clever, but i was dismayed when someone told me about this thing, though i'd never knowingly seen it, but niche marketing is inevitable, and i suppose people who are into grafs are also likely to like certain things.. like trainers of certain brands frinstance. i find this obnoxious, since one of the redeeming features of grafitti is it's lack of commodification, indeed resistance to commodity culture. it is one small sign that people are not just consumers, and now it has become infected by advertising itself. clever, i suppose, but very very yukky

Jamie: 28th Jun 2005 - 09:28 GMT

whilst you are still in you should retaliate with some "forced child labour - just do it" stencils. Extra points for incorporating the .

Peter: hahahaha, that would be choice.

Jamie: 28th Jun 2005 - 16:02 GMT
