C-Town Grocery
[previous] :: [next]
C-Town is my neighborhood grocery store. They're sort of ghetto compared to some of the more popular groceries around, but they're the closest, the cheapest, and definitely the most colorful... This article has been viewed 8682 times in the last 4 years
Peter: 27th Jun 2005 - 13:36 GMTthats why i had to include them... even though the photos were sorta bad/blurry. the whole grocery looks pretty funny, actually. its sorta ghetto, brian: 21st Feb 2006 - 13:40 GMTThe c-town in Washington Heights (Bway & StNick) has a bulletin board of Polaroids of shoplifters.. If you are ever in the area stop by and take a peek at this gem.. Some of the people in the pics are actually holding up what they've stolen and smiling.. Like a cheap mugshot! Peter: 21st Feb 2006 - 18:50 GMTwow! i used to work near that place. never went in though. if you have a cameraphone, do feel free to grab a snapshot and share it with us here... rebekah: 27th Mar 2007 - 14:12 GMTomg thats the one i go to everytime i visit my nanny in the bronx!!! [= Bob: 16th Feb 2009 - 16:50 GMTThe C Town that is on Avenue C and 12th Street in Manhattan is also the best supermarket in this area. Wider aisles, people that get out of your way when you are trying to get by, and friendly staff. Also the cheapest and they carry good generic and Spanish groceries. They even sell tubs of lard and goat meat. It's actually the only supermarket I can go to during the busy time without becoming claustrophobic or violent. So many people in the neighborhood think that it is called C town because it is on Avenue C, which is pretty funny. Comment on this article..[previous] :: [next] |
