Halep Kebab Feast

My parents are out of town. I've recieved several text messages, the latest being from the mountains of New Hampshire. It seems they are touring the eastern coast of America, so in their absence, i have decided to make use of their ample home. I like coming back here every now an then, if only for my favourite local kebaberry

This evening, feeling slothful, i ordered in. Delivery took an astonishing hour and a half and was eventually accomplished by a rather small and put upon looking fellow with a customarily loose grasp of english - and mathematics.

The Halep consists of strips of pitta bread topped with layers of donner meat (seasoned lamb cut from a vertical rotating spit), covered with a homemade sauce which seems to consist of generic sauce, plus sliced onion, diced green pepper and mushroom. The sauce and meat juices soak into the bread and get all lovely and squidy and meaty and nice. Well worth the wait.

My Halep Kebab was further augmented by my selection of accompanying sides of Hummus, two pittas and ten onion rings. I also opted for the Diet Coke (Coke Light) as i'm currently watching my waistline.

Trolley Tracks

I think there's something really poetic in the way tracks interact throughout the city. Intersections where two lines cross create great steel curves and shapes, like unintended works of art. While there's lots of tracks in that are...
