Nostrand Avenue

Avenue A-train stop, . The tilework and s in this (and the station as a whole) are decaying. Maintenance looks minimal at best.

image 2473
These tiled-in grids once held , d inside the tile frames. Apparently, as time passed and other better-traveled stations sprung up nearby, there was little demand for advertising in this low-traffic outer-boro subway station. Now, these advertisement s have been tiled in. This makes the station easier to hose clean each night, as well as prevents from showing up in the previously-blacked-out grids left empty by lack of advertisement.

Here at Avenue, you can transfer from the A- train to the C-, which terminates at Park Boulevard.
