ta! and btw i didn't crop the last 2 pics, these ducks are just sitting there not bothered, just letting me. i also saw a heron quite close up today, and some tasty looking crows or rooks hanging around in the park looking mean, but none so close to as these mallards

herons make the most amazing nests! I see their mammoth twig bundles perched atop power poles out in the wetlands.

there are 2 nesting pairs i know about, one in the park at the pond, they hang out in line of vision but on a little island. the other pair are further down the canal towards the thames where the dredger blokes hang out
