Saturday Markets

So, I finally had a day off of work. So, I spent it at two different saturday markets in Portland.
First, we headed to the market up by the PSU campus in the park blocks. Its a really nice spot to pick up some quality food, especially produce. It seems to be the hotspot for amateur candid photographers as well. I was probably competing with 30 others in that small block who were out doing the same thing in the same spot.

It was a good spot though, lots of "earth friendly" people and their children. Make sure you go early if you're looking to get some produce though, lots of folks were selling out by the time I arrived.

The other market was the actual Saturday Market in Old Town. totally different client base from the yuppy-ish market uptown. Not so many photographers and much more diversity in the masses. Got to see a dog that smoked cigarettes and a dude laying on some broken glass. You can drink openly there as most of the grease trucks are serving PBR starting at 8 in the morning. Its a total trip, and I can't wait to go back again.

Nevermind the pretentious, spoiled college kids. Let them indulge in their "art" and "freedom."

But. The last photo is citynoise.
