Urban Forms

- Peter - Wednesday, April 10th, 2002 : goo

[previous] :: [next]

The city, where urban forms are paramount, where coffee and two cigarettes is breakfast. The city, where idling, double-parked trucks purr like somnambulent jungle cats, where hopelessly discarded losing lottery tickets litter the sidewalks, fluttering by only slightly more often than rusty syringes; less common than wind-swept newspapers. The city, where more people read the voice than the wall street journal. The city, where graffiti tags on trains might be the only colour you see in a day; the trains, rusty kinetic dumpsters that haul their cargo of souls beneath the city streets, the telephone switches, the utility tunnels and crawl spaces where the homeless live.

The city, where I live.
