you so good hool, you even made them make you a nice green wall for your colour wall series

...pic #4, down, is as close to horror as anything you have done. i think. it feels like a crime scene photo. or, like the C.H.U.D. have struck - dragging bunny man beneath the bronze lids, leaving only his hat behind. is it the rough juxtaposition of materials? i don't know. the bunny hat doesn't belong there. i have an intense desire to pic it up, off the concrete, and reunite it with its owner.

this is a good place to say that knowing hool has made me realize how colourful the city is. i never really looked at walls before.

Peter: that green wall! wow!

Yep. #3 and #5, down. His city is Toronto, but his palette is Kingstown, Jamaica. Though his subjects are, most often, European or Asian, in terms of color, and texture, he gives frequent evidence that his sensibility is West African, transplanted.

somebody give the guy a travel grant! i wanna see his jamaican series, or better still bring that sensibility to grey places

selig: 27th Jun 2005 - 15:15 GMT

lovin that green wall and pippy-esque wrist lick!

Pat: 25th Mar 2006 - 04:14 GMT

nice pics! I just discovered City Noise and have been browsing for about an hour. Yours are the first ones I've seen that really made an impression on me! I look forward to seeing more. I'm going to post some of mine soon...

barry: Hool your photos are great.
