Following a spousal misunderstanding i was prompted to go for a wee around town. I found me a nice new with a lovely view. This is where I come to think. This is where the come to have sex. It suits us both.

fell and the building in the above took on an iridescent quality that i wanted to document. I hadn't set out on my walk with photographic intentions but my camera was in my jacket pocket so i moved a little closer to experiment with the exposure modes of my new camera.

I have a shaky camera hand and my pentax seems to max out at two seconds but it works fairly well for such a basic camera.

It got serious dark. I stayed out very late. Thinking. Walking. I went to St. Mary's . I didn't want to go home just yet.

image 1865

I walked around this building in the orange red street light until i got spooked by the glowing cloud that appeared on the photo below. It's a crappy photo but I include it here for narrative reasons. I was suddenly very aware that i was in a and wanted to leave. I did so very abruptly.

On my exit from the graveyard i spotted this peculiarly round building. It forms a near perfect semi circle. It was a bar but I think it's empty now. They don't build like this anymore. Not like this bar. Not like the church.

Still spooked by the I decided upon walking home. I walked home slowly dragging my heels through the low pressure sodium lighting of residential streets, main roads and scruffy housing estates.

wow jamie, nice series. i love the photos of the church and the round building... i cant help but notice that it looks like theres no people around. how desolate and interesting- the perfect setting for a ghost!

Jamie: 16th May 2005 - 16:01 GMT

thats right, no people whatsoever. it sorta adds to the eerie theme don't you think. places like this; small towns. they go to sleep at night.

GGP: 16th May 2005 - 18:41 GMT

great colors, Jamie. really like the mood you create here. serious dark and serious architecture to match.

Natali: 16th May 2005 - 23:56 GMT

Wow, I love this. Quirky buildings and potential ghosts are my favorite things about English streets.

Bored at the Doctors Office

Why do they tell you to get there 15 minutes before your appointment and then don't show up until 15 minutes (or more) after they dump you in the exam room with NOTHING to do!! Sure I check out...
