photomontages with repeating elements like that grid are almost impossible. for two years during the internet boom i worked for a virtual tour company doing photo-editing and hand stitching of montages. it was very exacting work.

If you scroll up and down whilst looking at the centre image of the fire escapes, if feels like your tilting your head up and down to look at the building.
