Gee Toto, we're not in Kansas any more. Great pictures what are you using? The guy on the bench is so sad...

Gee, Chris, jealous?

There are a lot of good things happening in Bricktown, as well as the Downtown and Midtown areas of Oklahoma City. Throw out all pre-conceived notions and look out for OKC to really be put on the map in the next few years.

Dave: 25th Aug 2006 - 22:04 GMT

Hey Chris,
It has been my experience in 43+ years of life (24+ of them in Oklahoma City) that "you get out of it what you put into it". I agree that in some ways Oklahoma City doesn't compare to other big cities. But I was never prouder to be from OKC during the afternmath of the Murrah Building ordeal, the various disasters thrown our way by Mother Nature, and the redevelopment of the downtown area among other things.
Growing up with a father who was full-time Army gave me the opportuniies to live in various places around the United States. I have heard people in all of them complain about the "XXXX hole" they were being foced to live in. My advice to all of them was... MOVE then. If you can't because you are too young, I advise you to do it as soon as you can because life is WAY too short to live in a hole that you hate! Or contribute something to make it a little more bearable. You know, they say that even dogs don't mess where they sleep. I hope you have better sense than a dog! I have moved away from OKC in the past year, but it is my goal to get back there as soon as I can.

Dave
