Oklahoma City

- Saint Clair - Sunday, May 15th, 2005 : goo

No skills required to verbally shit on the midwest. What takes talent is to show the world the culture that exists. This is the beginning of a series of pics and blogs of life in what is considered the belt buckle of the bible belt. You will soon see that this is no different than any other place. Welcome to Oklahoma.

oh man! when i drove cross country we stopped at the botanical garden but didnt go in.. didnt feel like spending the money.. its a cute city but i couldnt find shit to do there.. the historical part was nice looking but totally beat.. unfortunately every city in america rebuilt their "historical" district for tourists and club goers.. its kind of lost its effect..

if youre going to prove that okc has culture (which i never saw any of)..you should probably post photos of the people too

jack: 6th Nov 2005 - 12:07 GMT

dont knock it, but i admit it dosnt have as much going on as say dallas does.
thats going to change though, the area is constantly growing and new attractions, resturants,
and other bussnisses are coming in droves (espiecily the downtown area).

I cant wait to see what the area will look like in 5-10 years!

jack: 6th Nov 2005 - 12:25 GMT

I have just moved away from OKC (grudgingly) but will be back someday. I, too, am looking forward to what the city will be someday. Lived there nearly 25 years until a month ago. I am proud of what it offers and sooo excited for it's potential. And what is "parkour"?

Hey guys,

I've been at parkour since summer and there is a small group growing in the Norman, Moore, OKC area.
I've even started a club at OU. THere is a great forum on Urban Freeflow where Oklahomans can talk
about the local action going on.
Check out:

Hey. I know this thread is pretty dated but I thought I'd put up my interest as well. I've always loved the idea of "extreme walking" as I termed it a long time ago. I'm older but still totally interested in becoming a traceur. Anyone in their 20 or 30s that want to do this? Get on it! justaboy@gmail.com
