Accusatory Pansies

The ubiquitious pansies have hit the spring windowboxes of Bklyn.
Have you ever noticed how pansies in windowboxes stare down at you, accusingly? You can almost hear them gossiping behind your back, an angry mob.
These pansies lives in the ground (at the Bklyn Botanic Garden) and seem much calmer and more cheerful for it. Their worries are few. (I believe this variety is called "pansy sorbet antique shades.")
The heart-shaped leaves in front of this chair are violas, too. A couple of weeks ago, they bloomed in a profusion of purple and looked quite fabulous with the purple chair. Unfortunately, I failed to get a snap of that. Maybe that's why the windowbox pansies are looking down on me with such venom.
P.S. I HEART pansies.

the top ones have mean faces like those little dogs chines emporors kept in their sleeves that were supposed to be able to smell evil, but really they were just over bred and highly strung, so they attacked a lot of strangers, who were then punished for being evil. so beware of these little mofos

yay pansies! ive noticed them springing up all over brooklyn lately, also. nice. thanks for sharing this little bit of local spring!
