Built in the 1930s to provide a town center for the Villeurbanne community which had grown into a city of over 85000 was this Art-Deco masterpiece.
Eleven storey flatblocks along a boulevard flanked by a pair of eighteen storey towers...
Quite a contrast to the Ville Radieuse
ideas of Le Corbusier!
