has become a bit of a institution since it began in 1973. Though I'm not a
big hotdog eater myself, this place serves hundreds if not thousands of standard -style hotdogs a
day, along with their namesake drinks and fruit daiquiris.

Though I haven't patronized since the mid-1990s, its nice to see that it's still there, doing
the same thing its been doing all along. So much changes so quickly in that its nice to see
some classic joints still hanging on despite the current trend of price-outs and major corporate/chain
takeovers.

"Recession special!"
"When you're hungry, broke, or just in a hurry! No gimmicks! No Bull!"
"Let's be frank. We want you to buy our Furters"
"Q: How can you tell a Real New Yorker?
A: By her attachment to Gray's Papaya"
"Strictly Gourmet Hot Dog"

If you ever find yourself at 72nd Street and Broadway on the , drop in to Grey's and let us
know if their dogs are as good as they claim!
