Hey citynoise folk. It's been a while since I posted, as I haven't been up to a whole lot. However, I recently did a mind-boggling 10-day tour of New Zealand. I flew into Auckland where these first few were snapped:

These next two were spotted at a stop somewhere between Auckland and Rotorua:

This huge eye was on a wall outside the room I was staying that night, in Palmerston North:

The next two aren't far from each other in Kaikoura:

Wandering around Queenstown's little alleys and lanes, I came across this distinctive little Maori-esque piece:

These three are from a wander I did around part of the perimeter of the 'red zone' in Christchurch:

These markings are from search and rescue units determining which buildings had been evacuated and cleared of people after the quake.

To end on a less morbid note, here are some shots that I took along the way whilst flying, bussing, sailing, riding the rails or tramping (what the kiwis call hiking.)

I realize the last four shots aren't exactly 'city' scenes but I thought the patterns and marks that nature makes and leaves behind are reflected in the marks that people make as a kind of proof of being in a certain place.
