Whoops! It appears that someone has thrown their bed linens out the window and into an adjacent tree, right off of Carleton Avenue. Just one more strange happening on the side-streets of , Brooklyn...

the only reason why i could think of someone doing something like this is that they or their kid must have peed the sheets or something. perhaps a good airing out will get the sheets all sorted? if you pass by there again, let us know how it all turned out :-)

Peter: 4th May 2005 - 17:56 GMT

yeah, ill probably pass this scene today on the way home. ill be sure to give it a status check for you, heh.

elaine: 4th May 2005 - 18:12 GMT

kobe, you must be a very reasoned individual. the only reason i can think of is blind fucking fury

kobe: 4th May 2005 - 18:17 GMT

i cant imagine being so mad id throw my bed makings out the window, so if that makes me well reasoned, so be it :-)

elaine: 4th May 2005 - 18:40 GMT

you think they are using the tree as a washing line and will haul the sheets in later with a handy grabbing device?

Peter: 4th May 2005 - 18:47 GMT

that would be funny... ill see if theyre still there today when i pass. maybe so! maybe thisll be a weekly thing or something, ha.

someone told me a tale the other day of an art student who is, as we speak, going round with ladders, taking down old bags in trees and REPLACING THEM with new ones. it makes me tired. maybe i really am old. or just constitutionally bad tempered

Peter: 5th May 2005 - 14:10 GMT

BREAKING NEWS: as of yesterday afternoon, the bedclothes were no longer defenstrated. the tree is empty and clear. and though it was too dark to get a good photo, i will try again soon.

also: i like making photos of all those bags in trees.

elaine: 5th May 2005 - 16:40 GMT

but do you go up ladders, get em down, and put up new ones? no you don't, is my guess

Peter: 5th May 2005 - 16:45 GMT

well, if someone is going to go through all the trouble to replace the aging bags, then someone definitely needs to be willing to document all the hard work. thats where i come in...

James: 9th May 2005 - 15:35 GMT

the bedclothes are ALWAYS there -- at least once a month. very furious

That was actually the old super of my building throwing the bedsheets of the bum who sleeps on our roof, off the roof. How they finally came down, I don't know, but..
