wow, this has a certain ethereal quality to it. And liking seeing more photos from east london to complement 's ones.

elaine: 3rd May 2005 - 16:04 GMT

nice! i've photographed canary wharf loads of times, but never got anything like that kind of look going, it's kind of retrofuturist

hasslehoff: 3rd May 2005 - 16:07 GMT

also: this is an eerie dopelganger of a photo of toronto from hool posted somehwhere on this iste. i can see it in my head but i cant find it. 10 bonus points for the first person to dig it out.

hasslehoff: dig it out of te site that is. not my head.

elaine: 3rd May 2005 - 16:18 GMT

hasslehoff, you have a slightly revolting imagination. i have noticed this about you before.

is that it?

elaine: 4th May 2005 - 07:42 GMT

i don't know, but we should have a special 'mmmm goldin' section for goldy looking photos, Bleeagh did one and Ian has done a few. i always like them. this one makes me have that pop song 'gold' go off in my head, was it spandau ballet? it makes east london look positively luxurious, and of course there is a history of glamour here, albeit associated with extreme violence...

hasslehoff: 4th May 2005 - 08:04 GMT

10 bonus points are awarded to Peter! Fingers on the buzzers, it's the Ready Money Round!

Peter: ##big money! no wammies!##

Post Code Nerdism: Bow is E3, E2 is Bethnal Green

elaine: well spotted, that nerd!

JamJar: 13th May 2005 - 12:55 GMT

Bethnal Green is too far from the island to get a view like that, he must mean E3

elaine: and then again, canary wharf has to be E14
