these are some pictures in alleys that i was passing by.

i was passing by a different alley because within a 3 inch border of blackened, rotten, and polluted dirt, this colorful plant (which i have never seen before) was growing between a telephone pole and an abandoned warehouse. it has a stem like a tree's, strong and firm, but it's a flower at the top. it has to put up with tons of carbon monoxide floating around, cars, rats, pollution like none other. i don't know how it can put up with such a harsh environment and come out so beautifully.

(props to J for the resizing factor)

this is in the same alley as the flower. its a macroshot day for me.

here's another one, from an old building chipping off paint. the colors were nice.

Carbon monoxide, rats, pollution, abandoned warehouse and blood stains next to beautiful
flowers in the midd 80's to late 90's is how my youth was raised. Yet I still love my city better know as Chicago! Hate to none and love to all. Rest In Peace to all my lost souls.
