These were taken while I was on vacation back home in August 2001. I was a Border Patrol Agent and relocated to Texas, where I still live in San Antonio. But Bushwick is and always will be home. The van is at the corner of Troutman & Woodward, the doorway is between Knickerbocker & Irving, and the graf is up near Central Ave...anyone remember these? My friend Benji was murdered at the corner of Troutman & Woodward.

I use to live at 199 Knickerbocker Ave above the German bakery. It was a pristine neighborhood .None of that graffiti.Only Italian and German, maybe a few Irish, like my dad.I went to St.Leonard's and walked ALONE to school every morning .My mom watching from the window. What a great place to grow up. My son takes me back every now and then . CRY alot.
