Sugarshaker (Holiday Inn) Townsville

Here is Townsville Holiday Inn, or as the locals call it, The Sugarshaker.
It was built in 1976 and was the first skyscraper built in Townsville, in the 70s and 60s, Townsville wasn't big on Buildings and skyscrapers.
There was however one building that wasn't much of a skyscraper located on the strand, The Aquarius.

The Sugarshaker is Townsvilles Tallest Building, even though the Dalgety has more floors it is still taller due to Metres.

Here is a graph showing the buildings in Townsville, from Tallest to smallest.

The first one as you can see, is the sugarshaker.

Digging through some old floppy discs. Found some from NYC visit in 2002 Family from China visiting NYC. They didn't have a camera so I took a floppy discs worth of pictures of Ground Zero site for them to take home...
