Freudians Vs Olympians

Stratford station is being used as a major canvas for the 'back the bid' campaign for the olympics committee. There is a big stretch of admittedly fairly minging light-ish industrial corridor separating the near East End of Whitechapel, Spitalfields, Bethnal Green, and Poplar, from the far East End of Stratford, Walthamstow and what have you out there. So in some ways civilizing the bit in the middle could be a good thing. I have reservations based on where money tends to go to in these kind of ventures, and also the lack of commitment in general to sport for local people until something like this comes along. Never mind me, though. Here is a bit of adaptation someone saw fit to apply to the sticky letters.

nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!! look, I was TRYING to be less than vitriolic about it, here. We would be paying for the bloody thing forthe next 10 years in our council tax while all the mr fat cats of fat cat hill laughed up their sleeves all the way up the hill in their big fat chauffeur driven cars, dammit, go Paris!

Hazy: backing the Id all the way.: 15th Jun 2005 - 13:38 GMT

Elaine will u make me a card of this? I want to give it to my shrink. otherwise i'm feeling compelled to steal ur idea and pass it off as my own witty observation,i like the title too, most post. obviously this kind of dishonesty would be detrimental to my therepeutic relationship with my shrink,( with whom i am not at all obsessed nor in anyway sexually attracted to)so could u print me out a hard copy please? really its easier all round x x x u know it makes sense.

elaine: ha ha, yeah ok. is your printer broke?
