Aha! A way in.... Side door with brace can't keep me out.

Calendars need updating, must also be a storehouse of sorts.

Desk and drawers full of papers

Stacks of stuff on the floor. This place was pretty locked up except for this window, this was all I could get to.

can you give me directions to this church and lets see if we can get it on the historic register.

James Holloway: 27th Sep 2010 - 18:53 GMT

Sorry, but residents of Bluffton have identified this building as not an abandoned church at all. It was once a store, owned and operated by Mr. Herman Bass.
"Minutes" in the photograph are from the Bethel Baptist Association's annual meeting for 1953, not "Bethel Baptist Church."

Larry Torbert: 26th Nov 2011 - 02:26 GMT

As i grew up in Bluffton,Ga.,it is in fact Herman Bass's store..Bluffton has a Baptist and Methodist church and both are still active...Now can't wait to see my grandfather's store labeled as a church....
